Farkhunda was killed brutally by angry mob in KABUL, Afghanistan. Crowd desperately attacked her even police tried to stop them. It started from someone’s agitation of the crowd that she burned the Quran. An angry mob didn’t believe her state and killed her by their hands and feet. In addition, they dragged her body by a car, dropped her under the bridge, and burned her. Even more serious thing was that people exclaimed long live Islam even children, killing innocent woman. In the perspective point of view, it’s unavoidable that this mob killing of innocent woman is based on their misbelief about their religion.

To begin
with, It’s nonsense that Islamic people are threatening peace nevertheless
Quran, the Islamic teaching, talks about peace. The fact that Islam teaches
peace is easy to know. Islamic greeting, “As-Salaam-Alaikum.” means “Peace be unto you.” And in the
Quran, it is written that a man and a woman is same under the Allah and there
are also some teachings that woman have their social status same as man. But
the reality is different as the case of mob killing of Farkhunda. It’s hard to understand that these
people who hope peace easily killed an innocent woman as their best.
On
top of that, “Witch Hunting” in the middle age of Europe also shows that a
large number of faultless women were killed by the wrong religious belief. This
is one of the most well-known and huge scale of mob killing in the history. At
that time, dominant religion was Christianity. And many people who believe the
God accused many woman as a witch. According to the American anthropologist Marvin Harris, a half million of women were
executed as a witch. There are many Christians still today but there is no
witch hunting in this society. The Bible is same. The thing which is changed is
that theories and doctrines. In the middle age, there were wrong thoughts about
their religion made by some religious leaders and that pervasive concept moved
mob to kill guiltless women.

Although
some people might think that it was just an accident, but it’s clear that
people had killed innocent women due to the misunderstandings, based on
religion belief. There is someone who made misbelief at first. One of the
reason would be that they made their own interpretation of their religions even
they didn’t know about the real meaning of it. Furthermore, it also related
with profit of themselves. This is because every person unconsciously thinks
one’s life and profit first. To be specific, there are some points of views
that Witch Hunting is started to keep the power of church by giving public some
victims. Church needed to answer to the bad situations which include a lot of
wars, diseases like black death, and famine of that time. In case of Farkhunda
there would be a reason that someone made false rumor, to kill her for his own
profit. And the wrong belief that this mob had, which killed an innocent woman
as an honor for Islam, is also the hidden heredity of past thoughts for
someone’s profit.
HWPL WARP
Not only the case of Farkhunda, but also there have been a lot of religious killing incidents in the world. Still, there are many war and conflicts derived from religion. This is the reason why I support the activity of HWPL(Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light) WARP(World Alliance of Religions' Peace). HWPL has five big projects which are Legislate Peace, Campaign, WARP, Peace Education, Youth & Women Empowerment, Raising Awareness. All of them are meaningful and HWPL WARP seems possible to remove the violence coming from the religious misbelief and the conflict between several religions. There are many susseceful peace work already and the huge peace wave is coming. The world needs arbiter of religius peace.
